ECMO Society of India (ESOI) is running 2 courses since 2019, the details of the courses are as below:
- ❖ Duration
- ■ Fellowship – 1 yr
- ■ Certificate – 6 months
- ❖ Eligibility
- ■ Fellowship
- ◆ Postgraduate degree in critical care, medicine, cardiology, CVTS, chest medicine, pediatrics
- ◆ MBBS with additional qualification (with 2 years experience in critical care after PG diploma)
- ■ Fellowship
- ■ Certificate course
- ◆ MBBS
- ◆ Paramedicals – Respiratory therapist, Perfusionist, Nursing staff—BSc Nurse and GNM
- ❖ Fees
- ■ Fellowship – ₹40,000; For overseas students – $750
- ■ Certificate course – ₹25,000; For overseas students – $500
- ❖ Objective of the course – To transfer knowledge, make ECMO care and practise standardized in India
- ❖ Regular and alternate course in 10 affiliated institutes in 7 different states
- ❖ There will be entrance exam of 100 marks (MCQ type on basic critical care)
- ❖ Entrance Exam will be on 25 Dec 2023
- ❖ Courses start from January 2024
- ❖ Last day of Submission of Entry Form is 20 Dec 2023
